| | | At last a Bluetooth headset for drivers
The Parrot DRIVER HEADSET is a wireless headset that has been specially designed for all drivers keen on the headset concept, but who are confronted with the poor battery life offered by most of the models currently available.
Always charged and ready to go
The originality of the Parrot headset lies in its combined cradle that plugs into the 12 V cigar lighter. The cradle is used to both recharge and hold the headset when not in use. The long-life 90 mA battery is therefore always charged.
Hands-free headset kit
Once the kit has been paired with your Bluetooth phone, the cradle reacts to the slightest incoming call and notifies the driver by sounding a ringtone. Answer the call by pressing lightly on the headset to unclip it from the cradle: the call is established so chat away!
Ergonomic and effective
The Parrot headset has been specifically designed for in-car use and does away with the conventional headband and sidepiece, which tend to get in the way when driving. It fits naturally into the auditory canal. The headset weighs a mere 14 grams and offers 5 hours' talk time on a full charge.
Compatible with all Bluetooth phones
The Parrot DRIVER HEADSET features a built-in Bluecore 3 processor and offers complete compatibility with all the Bluetooth phones on the market.

1 of 5 Poor Quality Monday, July 14, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, Ca
Ear piece does not fit into ear well and without a ear hook falls off frequently and doesn't stay on. It has no noise cancellation and people that spoke to me while I was using this device said they couldn't hear me through the "static" or "buzzing". Everyone wanted to get off the phone with me because of the poor quality of reception. I guess u get what pay for. Waste of my money, but it was cheap. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 good performance, average design Saturday, July 12, 2008 A Customer from ca
This headset is great. It automactically turn itself on and off once you are in the car and outside the car. However, i don't know if it's my ear or not, but this thing sometimes slip off from my ear. Overall, this headset is good and the in-car charger is certinaly a plus. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 My FAT head... Wednesday, July 02, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
Great idea, but does not work for me. The ear piece does not stay in my head. No ear loop makes this useless for me. I had several friends try it as well, and only a few were successful in using it. The idea of "always on" is a great idea in California, after the new July 1st Cell headphone law.
Even when I got it to stick in my head (Try a stapler) voice was more broken, and harder for other to hear compared to my Logitech ear piece.
The owners manual is pretty poor as well. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great for the price Wednesday, July 02, 2008 A Customer from Fresno, California
It's not perfect but, for the price, I can't complain. It's kind of flimsy, but, again, for less than $30, I can't complain. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 horrible audio quality Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Tom from Sacramento, CA
I ordered this item to work with my iPhone because of the new hands-free state law. It seemed like the perfect solution. Connecting it was a breeze, but I should have looked into buy.com
's return policy more closely. The audio quality is absolutely horrible. Calls coming in through the headset are clear, but whenever I speak, the other party can't understand a thing. I then left myself a voicemail at home to figure out why they were complaining and indeed, my voice is extremely distorted. The connection seems to go in and out, even though the phone is only 2 feet away. I don't know if this is typical, and I'm blaming it on the headset as the iPhone seems to work fine with other headsets. Unfortunately, I'm already outside the buy.com return policy window, so I'm stuck with it. Might have to contact Parrot directly. Too bad.... Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Does what it is supposed to do, and well. Sunday, June 29, 2008 Kevin from Santa Rosa, Ca
Pros: Price, look, form factor.
Cons: Have to turn unit on when you get in the car. Ear bud cover (clear rubber, comes in 3 sizes for any ear) is a bit flimsy.
I like the look and feel, no over-the-ear clip (but light, so it is fine). If you only use hands-free in the car, this thing works great!
The only issue I have had is that when you turn the car on, the earbud doesn't turn on. You have to eject it, press the on/off button, and put it back in the charger. Then, the unit will mate with the phone, and when it rings you just eject the earpiece and put it your ear and talk! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent product Saturday, June 21, 2008 A Customer from Huntington, NY
Excellent sound quality at both ends, easy to use.
The lighter cradle is a great feature, keeps the headset always charged and ready to use - no need to have it permanently stuck in the ear. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Nice car dock, poor headset design Wednesday, March 19, 2008 Solomon from Reno, NV
Will not stay in my ear! Too large to fit in the ear canal, and no other method to anchor it in place. Multiple rubber ear pieces included to get just the right fit, if the diameter of your ear canal is at least 5/8-inch...
Sound quality is acceptable, but the microphone is easily overwhelmed by ambient noise.
The charger/dock is a great design! I hope to see more devices like this.
Bottom line, despite a few other flaws, I would be a huge fan of this innovative design if only they had made the sizing more reasonable. Was this review helpful?

That's the perfect design that I'm looking for few years. When I get out my car and out of its range, it will turn itself off after few minutes. But, as soon as I start the car engine, this bluetooth headset will automatically connect with my cellular. When a call coming, just pick up the headset and it will automatically transfer to headset.
I really like this design, so I order another one for my wife. Thinking about it if you need to use your phone when you're driving. Was this review helpful?
