My cable company, Cox Communications, will not accept this or any D-Link model so be sure before you order. If you have to send it back to Buy.com expect it to take 3 weeks to get credit, minus their 15% restocking fee, and your shipping expenses. Was this review helpful?

We have had a number of other brand's DSL and cable modems over the years, however, these D-Link modems are by far the best ever. They have worked perfectly right out of the box and have not required any attention since they were installed. We have not had a dropped connection yet. They are great! The product performed fine but don't count on the rebate from D-Link in your pricing. Six months later and they're still stringing me along. The rebates from Buy.com always come quickly but there's a reason D-Link has so many products with rebates - they don't pay! They string you along, requesting you send this or that again, promising to send the check in the next four weeks but it never shows up. They are counting on you giving up - Don't do it! If you were dumb enough to fall for their scam (like me), keep hounding them until they pay up. Was this review helpful?

Got a great price on Buy.com, ordered it, called Comcast when it came and gave them all the numbers the needed off the modem, returned the rented modem, and have been up and running ever since with no problems. I've had no problems using this with a Netgear wireless-G router. In general, I find Dlink to be easy to set up, but with a cable modem, there is no set up. I just had to send the MAC (printed on the bottom label of the unit) to the ISP, and I was off to the races. Was this review helpful?
