5 of 5 WOW Great Multi Printer Tuesday, December 16, 2008 Luvmy machine from Meadville, MS
I bought this multifunction printer to replace a 1997 ink-jet printer.WOW it's amazing what I've been missing. Not a techie but with basic knowledge, I was able to follow the instructions easily, to install the software & set up the printer. The second paper tray is a great option. The copies are of good quality. I have just begun using the scanner so I'm still on the learning curve. The fax is fairly self explanitory, but the one thing I dislike is that when plugged into the primary phone line it cuts in when you answer, so I just unplug it when not in use. It prints nice pictures. Speed, I have no knowledge of other printers so it's plenty fast for me. It is LARGE but for what I needed it fits the bill & the cost was quiet reasonable. 5 of 5 Outstanding Value for the Dollar Sunday, December 14, 2008 Neal Bowser from Grayson GA
I've worked with computers and printers for a long time now. I can remember when 9-pin dot matrix printing was state-of-the-art and the big "golly-gee-whiz" of technology, so I'm not easily impressed with emerging equipment. Never-the-less, the Canon MX-700 has captured my attention. The printer doesn't do any one thing stunningly well, but it DOES combine a unique blend of desired features, all blended together in one unit...and they all play well with each other! We own much more expensive "commercial" equipment that doesn't compare!
I can now understand why Consumer Reports rated this unit #1. I agree! Oh by the way, I read the instructions and adjusted the fax sensitivity setting for multi-use (-voice and fax; voice weighted) and the voice call interruption problem went away, never to return again. The only negative (-and a very small one at that) is the initial longer than normal boot-up delay. -No big deal for me. The computers take longer.
Buy this unit. You won't be disappointed! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Buy Saturday, December 13, 2008 Amy from Tucson, AZ
It is a great value. It is well made and very sturdy which surprised me, you never know...It was easy to install and use. My step-daughter just used it for a big homework assignment and used all the features but faxing and each worked great.
I have had a few printers and none were as high quality as this for the price.
I was nervous to buy it and not have it meet my expectations and I have to say Canon exceeded them.
I haven't had to use the fax feature so I can't comment on that yet.
I hope this helps you in your decision.

5 of 5 Very nice! Wednesday, December 10, 2008 Thomas from Michigan
I am a Canon fan and I am not disappointed with this printer. I print quite a quantity of card stock and I feel more comfortable using a printer with a back feed w |
